    1. Thanks Anna - I will not be able to make the preview as I am teaching during that time, but I will see the exhibition at some point during the summer, and will look forward to seeing your two birds too - which look stunning! Hope all is well with you.

  5. It'a exquisite! As I stare at it on my pc screen it actually looks 3 dimensional. The back is a testament to your skills as well! I'm hoping to see the exhibit in the first part of September. Would love to be there for the opening though.

  6. Hi Tracy
well it is beautiful, they are both fantastic, Nicola's is almost Translucent I don't know if that's the right word (light airy) and your's has a depth of colour which is rich .. I love the design its stunning, but I admit I am attracted to the richer in colour .... superb. x

    1. Thanks Mel. Did you know, or anyone reading this, that Nicola's is a drawing of an embroidery rather than an embroidery itself. This is what her exhibition will be based on and inspired by William Morris . . .

    2. Hi Tracy.. Gasps in amazement no I did not! how beautiful and talented she is, I though it was stitched ... That does explain why it seems lighter in texture to yours. Sill both stunning.

    3. Hi Mel - yes that is her current style - to draw in the style of stitch - the new May Morris - see her website for more - http://www.nicolajarvisstudio.com - thanks for enjoying it all.

I am hoping to get to the exhibition. I have watched a few of Nicola's designs come to life on various blogs and I really would like to see them in real life.
